Building Markham’s Future Together is the City of Markham’s 2020-2026 Strategic Plan. Markham’s Strategic Plan is the blueprint for how City Council and Senior Staff will make thoughtful decisions about the City’s future to ensure its success. The Strategic Plan was approved on May 1, 2024 following months of consultation with Members of Council, Markham staff, community and business stakeholders and the general public. The 2020-2026 Strategic Plan will take us to the end of the current council term before a process is initiated to create a new strategic plan for the City of Markham. Every Spring, a progress update on the Strategic Plan is brought forward to Council. Below in the Strategic Plan drop-down menu, you will find progress updates from previous years, as well as highlights of our accomplishments.
